The DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS was established in the year 2006 as ancillary subject for other disciplines. In the year 2010 it becomes a major department offered B.Sc Mathematics. Moving on to the higher research level department offers M.Sc Mathematics from 2011 onwards and M.Phil Mathematics (Full Time & Part Time) from 2016 onwards.  There are 11 staff members in the department handling the major and allied for the department and other disciplines respectively.

To inculcate the young minds of the department, every year was carried out association activities in the name of “MATH METRONS”. We also conduct seminars and workshops to scrutinize the student involvement in the subject. The “EUCLID’S CLUB” of our department conducts competitions like paper presentations in application fields, quiz, logical thinking, models.., to develop the student math ideas and real application knowledge. The alumni of mathematics department were well placed in different streams.

MOTTO
